The service was good; our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The other servers greeted us with aloha and smiles and they came and went.We began with deep fried coconut calamari which was crisp and tasty.We then moved to co*cktails which were colourfully named and deserved seconds.The fish and other entrees were quite good.We did not have the dessert because it. is. ginormous!Price for three with tip was up there but this is Hawaii la.We watched the sun come down over the islands.A reservation is highly recommended as this restaurant comes highly recommended.Then we walked the boardwalk back to our hotel about 5km away.I would come again.

We loved everything! We got the pumpkin hummus, poke tacos, and a chicken dish with taro/sweet potato mash. Drinks were also great and our waitress was very nice! The hula pie is to die for as well!

So so good!! Great location and atmosphere, we sat at the barefoot bar and everyone seemed to be having such a great time. Best service we've had in Maui, I unfortunately forgot the name of our waiter but he was amazing. The food was perfect and we were surprised at how inexpensive it was - we got two appetizers, two entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks and the bill was less than $100. Will definitely come back next time we visit Maui and recommend this place to all our friends.

We were so happy to stumble upon Hula grill! Great atmosphere, loved being able to sit with your feet in the sand. Good views and amazing service. I had the poke bowl and it was so fresh. The menu is pretty limited but they did have gluten/dairy free options. Would definitely recommend stopping by!

We came here after a recommendation from the Internet and we were extremely impressed. This restaurant is amazing, even if you were not seen in the area. It is worth coming here and bringing your bathing suits. You can come here for co*cktails and food and walk out the patio to the beach and hang out. The only issues we had were that you can only stay for two hours from when you park before you start paying for parking, and the prices were a bit high. This was an incredible experience.We came here for lunch so I can only speak to that. They had hamburgers, plates, and other source food that was all really appetizing. Everything was well presented, well cooked, and we loved every bit of it. The food was excellent.The drinks were really good. They have an arrangement of co*cktails ranging from typical Hawaiian drinks to other drinks such as margaritas and anything else you can imagine. They also have beer either locally sourced from Hawaii or imported.Recommend visiting his place. We planned on coming here before we arrived to the island and we were impressed aside from the strange parking situation and the prices.

Beautiful spot, super friendly staff (our server was excellent), but the food and co*cktail menu didn't impress. Call me crazy but I expected more local favorites and a decent co*cktail menu based off the name and logo. It is a little boogie for me and your paying for the view. The food by no means tasted bad or wasn't prepared correctly, it just isn't Hawaiian anymore than the beach being there. Menu is digital here.

The location is fantastic, right on the water. PLUS some tables have ceiling fans!!I had the Thai Chicken Flatbread that was a little too sweet for my liking. My wife had the Hawaiian fruit & greens salad with grilled shrimp and loved it.The Lime in the coconut drink was DELIGHTFUL!!! We’ll definitely be back to try more next time on Maui.P.S. they also had live music at 2pm on a Thursday in October… that was awesome as well!

This is definitely a great restaurant. I wish I could give it three and a half stars or maybe four, but I feel like the atmosphere is much better than the food. Our waiter was spectacular and gave us the heads up on what was good and what was not. Honestly most of the food was mediocre at best. I think if you can get a good seat closer to the water your experience will be better. I want to let everybody know that the steak was mediocre at best so I highly advise to get something else and the fish was very dry. The appetizers and small plates were better than the main meas, we will be back but not for the food but for the atmosphere. Hope this review helps someone decide where they want to eat.

Stunning views and ambiance. Live music! Like most places in Hawaii, the prices were steep. The hula pie is an excursion within itself. It's like an elevated ice cream cake - A MUST HAVE! Service was excellent here.

The home of the famous hula pie! One of my absolute favorite places to go for lunch or evening snacks and drinks! The ambience is perfect! Right on the beach! The food is delicious and the famous Hula Pie is always a treat to end your meals with. This is a place where you will want to sit, relax and enjoy the delicious food, drinks and Hula pie! Definitely a must visit when you are in Maui!

I ordered-Poke tacosWhich was very soft yet it was too fishy-The firecracker was pretty average, nothing special, just fish, rice, and tomato chunks salsa-the Hula Caesar SaladHad to wait 45 minutes.Sat in-front of the stage near by the seaWas good, big chunks of shrimps were great plus lots of cheese-for the dessert,The Pineapple Upside - Down CakeWas the best of all,Out of all the things I ordered.It was very soft and sweet.-draft beer was good too.

Hula Grill wowed us beyond expectations! I highly recommend making a reservation (no matter your party size) at least a month before traveling, especially during busy months. I recently ate at Hula Grill with a party of 8 and there were so many people waiting to get seated who did not have reservations. The wait time was at least an hour or more. The atmosphere is amazing especially if you dine at sunset. Great list of specialty co*cktails and fresh food. It's also a great location on the beach and in Whaler's Village. If you park in the parking structure for Whaler's Village ask Hula Grill to validate if you dine there. Enjoy!

I love feeling the sand on your feet while you're having great lunch. Kudos to the waiters who walk on sand and send us our food! Our waiter was great, super friendly and even helped us customize our meal for our allergic friend. Thank you for the great service and food! Oh you simply must have the hula pie!

We were greeted by the warmest smile, and were sat in sand area of the restaurant so we were able to kick off our shoes and relax. We had the Dynamite fish, the pulled pork sandwich, and the fish and chips. Of course we all shared the Hula pie. While the food was awesome the atmosphere with the live band and the employees made this a fantastic experience. Especially our server Shelby (like the car) she was great and also smiling all the time. My 11 year old son said she was the nicest person.

This was a nice relaxing place to eat and chill. We had a performer singing at the corner which made for good vibes, and the food and drinks were pretty good. Service was friendly.

Hula Grill is our first stop for every trip to Maui! We love that reservations are easy, service is phenomenal and the food is simply out of this world. Our last trip we had the fire grilled ahi… it was so delightful!I cannot recommend the Hula Grill restaurant enough. The drinks, apps, salads and entrees are awesome… and the view cannot be beat.

Visited the Hula Grill, after out sunset cruise. No reservations but found seats at the bar, our fav spot. Great co*cktails at very good prices compared to the nearby resorts. Johny was great. Ordered the seafood appetizer and later had the pork shank and the Mahi. Skipped dessert for a co*cktail. Overall good.

Every dish here is very delicious! You can order what you want and it will be tasty. Today we enjoyed Grill cheese with tomato soup, Caesar salad, Ahi poke and Fresh fish. Everything was fresh and healthy. Highly recommend this amazing place 😋

Fun restaurant on beach. Indoor and outdoor seating available. One side is casual and the other more formal. Great spot to reserve to watch sunset. Food is OK, but, this is more about location and vibe. Save room for desert, the Hula pie can serve multiple people.

Amazing place, staff were superb, food was the best I've ever had . Must visit if you're on the island try the ribs, and the fish tacos. Can't wait to try something else.

We stopped into Hula Grill for lunch today around 11:10 AM. Jessica was our waitress. She was super friendly, knew the menu well & was very attentive. We ordered the humus appetizer, we shared the salad with fruit, my husband got the grilled fish tacos, I got the bbq sandwich & we shared the hula pie. Everything was fresh & delicious!! Highly recommend Hula Grill !

We experienced the grill side of the place, which is my recommendation. The "restaurant" side looked too formal and this is Maui! We could choose from both lunch and dinner menus, so everything was available. Upbeat live music and beautiful hula dancing only made my smile bigger! I didn't order any co*cktails (pretty pricey), but all the food items we tried were delicious! (Try the calamari appetizer!) And you're on the beach watching sun set! ❤️

Authentic atmosphere and amazing food and service!!My family and I came here for lunch while visiting Kaanapali. Hula's location is right off the beach so it was perfect for us. The staff were all very professional and friendly! Lunch was great, but the coolest part was Alice Cooper was sitting at a table next to us!! Didn't expect to see a legendary rock star at lunch, so that was a pretty awesome surprise!Check this place out, you'll like it!

We had a late dinner here at 7:45pm, it was pretty busy at this time and once we were sat down it almost seemed as if our waiter forgot about us. Other than that the food was yummy and the vibe was fun and fresh. We got pina coladas for drinks, poke tacos, and the hula pie:) I will say the menu was limited

Loved this place, we went on a date with my wife June,2024 and there was a dancer and music so good…. Gorgeous place amazing location and the vibe is what you are looking for…The inly drawback is say the menu is kinda limited and not much choices… we ordered fish&chips and goat cheese pizza… pizza pretty good and fish very normal… but i didn’t care much cause the vibe and place worth it all❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Recommended.Summary: great atmosphere, friendly hosts, good food.I ordered tomatoe soup that was delicious, but oddly it had an uneven temperature in the bowel. Very good nonetheless. I had a filet mignon which was perfectly prepared, juicy and melted off the fork. I wished, however, it had been served on a hot plate. The steak would have been perfect had it been warmer. Delicious though, and I enjoyed it.The atmosphere and the vibe was great.

The Hula Grill is a beautiful spot by the water. The sun sets right outside, and there is music and a hula dancer for some of the evening. There are a LOT of people there - very busy. Make a reservation a month in advance. They were accommodating to us, and our server was very nice and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, and the hula pie was ab experience!!

We dined here with our family on one of the evenings. Our server was excellent and was very attentive to our table and our little one. The steak was a bit on the lean side for a ribeye cut with less marbling than expected, especially given the price point. The white butter sauce fish and rice was delicious. The upside down pineapple cake is also a must get next to their hula pie.

This place used to be a 5 till they got rid of their special ketchup, that said, still a must when I come to the island. The crab wantons are THE BEST THING ON THE MENU, absolutely no question, could eat a million of them. The ceviche is incredibly fresh. The fish tacos never disappoint and the chips they are served with have a great crunch and spice to them. I’ve probably had everything on the menu at some point and I am never disappointed. This place is everything you could want from a tiki bar.
