No one boycott Costco’s Poutine? It’s really bad. I feel this is the only boycott with consensus

I see it as a snack bar, not a food court. The seating/tables are there for convenience, versus a dine-in restaurant.
Either wait for a table before ordering, like in restaurants, or go somewhere else. Take the food and eat in your car, like at a drive-in restaurant. Sometimes, I'll sit outside on one of those concrete bases for the pillars.
Re: poutine. Yeah, Costco's gravy is flavourless.

This! Cheap and efficient. I do this without thinking of other alternatives; it just makes so much sense. I don't go to Costco for sit-down meals. Not sure why I don't see more people do the same.

In Vancouver, plenty of people go there for the food court and not to shop. Many who eat there aren't even Costco members. The $1.50 hot dog is widely regarded to be the cheapest lunch you can get downtown.

I can never find a place to sit there that isn't covered in bird poo.

I hate the table hogging. Next level to that is when someone without food is hovering over you waiting for you to get up so they can snap up the spot. Last time, I accidentally dropped some mustard/ketchup from my hotdog on the white table and trying to clean it off smeared it all over. May start doing it on purpose

That sounds really frustrating! I totally get where you're coming from. It's just common courtesy to wait until you have your food before grabbing a table, especially when it's busy and others are looking for a place to sit. It's a shame that some people don't seem to think about how their actions affect others. Maybe a gentle reminder from Costco could help, but ultimately, it's about being considerate of others.

I am from Montreal, and my memories of the food court were never as busy as the ones in Toronto.. but as someone has pointed out, that could be the self-serve kiosk affect in action..
Sounds terrible. I only go to Costco in the mornings within a hour of opening nowadays, so I've never had this be a problem. The only times I sit down for food, it's for a hot dog breakfast, and there's always seats or a go communal.

It’s hard to find a table at the locations I go to, so I eat in the car instead. I’m not a table-hogging jerk but more of a “I’m not leaving yet” kind of jerk when people wait for my parking spot and drive away in disappointment.

You people still eat at the food court? I always go and eat at the patio furniture. The aisle with the folding tables and chairs is a solid second choice.

Lol yeah. If I see someone waiting for the spot, I’ll sit in the back seat to eat in peace.

OP is making a lot of assumptions. You believe they are hogging the tables thing is, someone is going to think you are. Why arnt you eating faster? You could eat faster. Better leave as soon as the last piece of food is in your mouth. Wouldnt want to hog the tables.

Actually, thats what we do. As a mindful and considerate person, When we are done eating we leave because I know that other people are waiting to sit...
Seems pretty normal thing to do.
Of course, if there are extra tables when there's no pressure to leave right away.
I can't believe I need to explain how courtesy works, but I guess I do

You missed my point. Someone, somewhere, would say you are hogging the table because you are eating too slowly.
