Are you all doing anything to capture your littles and this phase of life in general?
All I do is take a bunch of photos on my phone every chance I get. But I want to do something more special. Any ideas?

With my first I made photo books for each month of his life (some months were combined). I used Chatbooks app. They also have subscriptions and things. I’m doing it for this baby as well. I was also trying to figure out how to do some DVDs from the videos on my phone. I hate to lose my phone or something one day and lose everything.

chatbooks all the way! with my now two year old we did a photos book per month of her first two years. doing the same with this one! they’re small books. nice for them to be able to have when they’re older!

I use the "1 second a day" app and stitch together a picture a day (sometimes more), then make one of those video book things at the end of each year (a lot of people use those video books for their wedding videos if you're not sure what I'm talking about). I did it for my son who is almost 2 and love it. I have a 7 min video with cute songs of my favorite pix/ videos/ lives from each year. I order one for my mom too as a bday present.
It's the middle of the night here but if you want more info on the video book I can get it for you tomorrow

we use this and every year I make a family video (I have an 11 and 8 year old) and we rewatch our whole year on New Years Eve! We put it up on the TV or projector
It’s such a wonderful tradition!
I then download them and save them in a folder and want to combine them into something for when they graduate or get married or something

Someone recommended The Short Years to me and we love it! It’s a baby book but you create it online/on an app. There are chapters and you answer questions/upload pictures and they mail you a binder for the book and print and mail you the pages you create. I’ve found it much easier than writing in a book and trying to print pictures. It’s something I can easily work on while breast feeding too!

A mom on a different thread had mentioned putting up a calendar in the nursery and writing down little highlights each day.
Thought that was a great way to make a little keepsake!

Someone gave me a customized journal with my baby’s name on it. Once a week I try to write a letter to him and tell him what has been going on with us. I was never much of a writer but it feels so special that my baby will be able to read about this phase of his life when he is older!

I took a pic of my daughter EVERY single day the first year and then made a photo book called “365 days of XX” it’s sooooo cool to see how much they grow the first year! Doing the same with this baby

I did the one second a day app
It’s free and you have a video of one second of each day for a year! Been doing it since my first born was born 2 years ago
So fun to look back on and super easy to do
